There's nothing better than staring at a product you modeled on a screen getting into production and coming to reality.

I`m glad you appreciate my work, you are amazing Rhino designer.
Time was approx. 6 months - time after work/weekends.
Pay attention that my objects are not just NURBS surfaces but closed polysurfaces and all edges are smooth - this increase modeling time ( and cover mesh polycount ) twice. That way the model looks "solid" on high res rendering .

That is what I looking for. Perpendicular splitting of the surfaces to get nice filets was/is harder part.

Hi popoff and nice work !!!
I like how you've been dealing with all the details. Indeed it's a long process to give thickness and create fillets everywhere... But the result is worth the pain !! I remember with rhino the automatic fillet tool was often not working properly. I hope it's better now on v4... Now it's time to put some decals on it !!

... thanks for your kindly words Click here to enlarge
    you obviously have Rhino background.
I used fillets only for the thin parts - other surfaces are sweep2/blend stuff. Fillets in Rhino are still problematical.
I don't plan to put any decals on the model because I'm working on another one. If somebody is interested in materials/decals I'm open for colabs.
For a week I made the basic shapes and the detailed rim of the new model, but details`ll take me months Click here to enlarge ...
