So i'm trying to launch vray RT 2.0 and it does nothing. Just waits for a render request even though i've sent it already. This in a 10mil poly scene. I thought it had something to do with the polycount but i've tried in a very simple scene and the same happens. Any ideas?
Okay, Memory issue opts out.. It could be your Vid Card GPU issues. For a test, hide whole object and create teapot. Let see if Teapot will show up on RT Screen. Oh make sure you have scene lights turned on ;P
I've tried that, nothing works. It's not a light issue or object issue. It simply doesn't start the realtime process, as if something was blocking it from starting.
Have you try running RT in a new blank scene without any objects. And see if it can start? I mean, reset max scene and try starting up RT again.
When RT failed to start, its because:
-Missing texture - (delay time trying to search file path)
-Bad object in scene
-Bad material in scene (difficult calculating ray cache)
-Bad Spline in scene
-Memory/GPU error
From what I have learned, the problem frequent occur if you transfer object from another application into 3ds max and use VRayRT.
So, try to see if you can start up RT in blank scene, if you still encounter same problems, then might as well, you'd have to reinstall RT.
