    Hi, i wanna make this clear: "The final result should looks like a commercial shot". This means image quality? This final image should look like beautiful car with perfect paint or i can add some imperfection? This is my first contest this kind. By the Way, sorry if my English is weak, I'm from Europe. Can I modify VIPER body kit ?

    You have already answered your question GE0... This means, no usual screencaptures, wires, clays, or specular material and etc as final submissions. Don't forget to add CGCars Identity (Logos) anywhere in/on car or in/at the scene.

    And oh! You must also show your WIP in order to win! (Just saying because i haven't seen yours) good luck

    Tanks for your answers EquiNOX, i understand that final image quality should be perfect, but how about, for example, final car paint? can i put mud on a car or something like that? Click here to enlarge I'm working now on my viper, i will post my wires last week. By the way, can i put 2 vipers in final image?

    thats your choice GE0. You can add some imperfections an you can also use 2 viper in your scene.

    I have another doubts
    -can I show the logos of Razer, Evga, and MOI?
    -If I could, I don't have the font of MOI (Moment of Inspiration), I tried searching in the web but I just found a logo, so if you could upload that would be nice

    i dont' believe it's kind allowed to post here their own font, as it's something that they paid so much to keep on their own (is always like this when designers develop a particolar font for a company)..........anyway..if they don't give it to u try drawing it in a vector program...even in ps....is the common way i use to re-create logos i can't find......

    @Briex: Yes, but I was refering to the logo's font. Maybe I expresed myself wrong. I don't want the font format. Just the image like this one of Evga HERE . To respect the logo appearence.

    How do you guys add textures to such meshes? Nothing is welded properly, unwrapping and UVW modifiers wont work correct. At least the polygons are flipped at the right side...

    Am I doing something wrong when opening the Viper in 3ds max?

    Any advice?

    Thanks

    What do you mean? Did you try to normalize map with unwrap modifier? How about projection mapping, multichannel uvs or such.. There are so many ways you can unwrap this model inside max.

    Agree with equinox, the only way is to remap the whole surface with a brand new projection....that's the best and easy way (Maya users)

    @Equinox..Do you mean the render to textur feature of 3ds max?
    I tried to normalize them with the unwrap modifier, but because the meshes are so ba the coordination dont seam to work properly, from time to time I am also getting weird viewport material previews (crazy bumpmapping on the object).

    Multichannel UVs? Do you have an example? I normally map with unwrap or selection sets (Material IDs and Multi/Sub Materials).

    @Briex..too bad iam a max user : /
