    Proton Formula GT-1 Concept

This is my new project. The car that was inspired by LeMans racing car,& this time I have made some nice addition to it apart from just an outer skin.It is more than just a skin deep, this time.

Apart from the interior,it also had a suspension system & engine,& most importantly the monocoque & aerospace tubular frame that harnessed the engine on the back.

So far, how about it ?

Thanks for the opinion & comment !

BTW,I always love the Pagani intention of making the hypercar with all those group C LM race car appearance & aero styling, combine with the luxurious touch on interior that used the theme of racecars & ol' classic motorcar leather works.

That's how my styling idea for this project came from.
BTW,I chose to badged it as Proton because the front fascia has been taken from Proton Waja....kinda make this car like homoglation special version to the normal road sedan( PS: CLK-GTR,911-GT1,Elise GT1)

Some more render for the chassis, interior & engine parts....love to work with all those details so far.(I was mechanica' addict! )

Haha, you got very sharp eye,my friends....yeah I do that because I had no idea for first, but when I mould the rear end somehow it does look right in my eyes,so I just keep it like that.Click here to enlarge

    Thanks for all the comments.

BTW,since the internet connection not that good lately,I wasnt able to update the progress regularly.
But anyway here is the first variant of the car. This because I now diggin' the idea of super-aggresive race-ready look like Zonda R so this one is more like the regular, homoglation road version compared to the next variant which is what I really working on right now.

It is remindin me a mix of many cars, Pagani Zonda, Maserati MC12, Nissan R390(road vers), Toyota GTone and a bit of R8 and Honda NSX, but it's looking good =) Maybe renders could be better cos they don't give justice to ur model! maybe to blurry and dark!

    Really nice work tho!

p.s. Here's a mod i did in a couple of minutes. I think is much better, and that's all post prod! =)

Did some tweak on the following version of this concept car.

The wheel now are lipped & staggered with even bigger size to comply with the extra wheel arches,NACA side duct are removed, extra skirting with air intake is made, the snorkel-like rear end scoop to feed the turbo,high-downforce rear wing, new air-duct styling, rear diffuser with additional extension to stretch the rear end even further.

I also planning to remade the front end. This one is look like the Proton waja which were the car was base from, but I think I need to put some trimming & made some aero modification as well.

Nice work but why do you renders appear to be out of focus?

I think it's going on good, i just found a small problem, not that much relevance. Which is ur modeling software? and rendering engine? cos on ur render it seems ur light as some glow on, maybe too much, that burn out ur hilight and give some blur effect =/ and maybe ur background should not have angles, try rotating it!

    Here's the problem Proton Concept 15 copy.jpg

For the front, i'll remove that grid, making easyer the air flow and giving a more racing look to ur concept. Adding extra air intakes doesn't sound so good to me, i think will add only turbulence, as the engine is central; 4 ex, u should try something extreme, like this! =) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...2005-06-02.JPG

Thanks for the crit & comment,Briex!Click here to enlarge

BTW,I already notice the problem long time ago but never had time to take a closer look to it since I always forgot when I do all the modeling job.Anyway all the render are just a test render, which explains why I take some of render to be out of focus(test lightning setup,& the material especialy the CF textures.)

I think everything is all on my watch, except the car colour is just to shiny & reflective.I would reduce the reflectivity & small modification on front end part.(Thanks Briex for the idea...the GTone front end is look fit for this model)

So I gonna do some interior work after this. Here is the earlier model of it.I would redo the middle console,by removing the sloping area, put all the texture on it,& remade the shift column area.
