Too long has this stayed on the shelf. It seems I got time in the foreseeable future so let's get the updates rolling and the engine finished.

Here's with the crank cover and the starter. Thanks a lot for the comments so far Click here to enlarge

Phew! At least that's behind me now. Felt like an engine project-lite. Breden I admire your patience even more now.

So, with some bolts missing, here's the heart of the beast.

PS On an unrelated note just yesterday night I had my first polygon related nightmare Click here to enlarge

    Thanks!

    But I need help!

I've been taking a break from polygons and trying to get a grasp of VRay while finetuning the tyre texture. So many many settings, but thankfully there's a ton of info out there to help. There's one thing I cannot figure out though...

What VRay setting controls the jagged edges? Like the highlights of the tyre grooves?

First, recheck the alignment of the tire because it appears to be leaning
off center. And for the lighting, it looks alright, but experiment some different
rig/spot's for it, and make judgemental comparisons.
    The texturing looks very good!
