I've never been a fan of ultra exotic supercars, I've always tended to model cult Japanese sports cars and such. The Pagani Zonda changed my mind though. It's only when they started experimenting with color shcemes(Cinque tricolore, absolute) that it really hit me: Damn that's a beautiful machine!
I've been working on this project for a little over a month in my spare time. The modeling section is pretty much complete. Going to carry on with texturing...
@Duron - Do you mean the spokes width or depth? I made them a bit wider(depth wise) that it helps when viewing at an angle. I left the width because they are very skinny when viewing side on.
@ Sebograf - Thanks, fixed that and a few other niggles.
Been setting up to render and have been tweaking the body work along the way, should have two nice clay renders in the morn!
Wow, insane detailing, I love it! I think you might need to sharpen some of you chamfers though. Since it's made out of carbon fiber the creases are really sharp in the original. Besides that; just great!
You won't get much closer to magic than pressing the render button.
Thanks for the crits toub! The edges on this car suprised me a bit because they are actually quite soft in places( where the car paint meets the carbotanium). Also the panel gaps are huge at these colour separations. It really doesn't have that perfect build quality that Ferrari/Lambo/Bugatti/etc has, but i like it for that reason...
nas: I really do agree with you, there are som charming gaps here and there on the Zonda. But the ridgeline that's running along the side is actually a bit sharper, at least from the refs I have looked at: Pic Anyhow, amazing work. What kind of environment are you looking at? is it studio or some outdoor arrangement?

Ok, i see your point. But i still have to disagree to an extent because the ref pic you posted is a rendering. It has a lot of conflicting faults that make me ignore it.
If you look at my gap is actually smaller and harder at the edge than this pic. I'll have another look though and make sure. Thanks for taking the time.
