There is no eassy "one-click-solution" to this one. Although both Vray and mental ray has the option of converting scene materials to either vrarMtl or Arch & design. But the settings are always converted directly, giving incoherent results.
But a genereal rule of thumb would be, that vray materials has a very sensitive settings ratio. Meaning that a glossiness value og 0.6 in an arch & design material, would be the equivalent of 0.75-8 or so in a vray material and vise versa.
As for render setup, it's more complicated. If you run into a specific situation, post it here and will try to help the best I can..
