    Warfare short-animation

    Hi, fellows
I came back with a new project, a city warfare animation, mainly done for my demoreel.
I hope it's ok to post it here as long as it still contains vehicles Click here to enlarge
The ideea, came some time ago...can't say exactly when, lol. Anyway,in childhood i used to be a fan of war strategy games so i think the ideea, emerged from that... So you're looking through the eyes of a special corp agent on board of a hellicopter prepairing to find and land on a cool LZ(landing zone). He's using a special environement visualising tool, kind of a night vision but more advanced, providing him with much more field information.
I've been a bit in a rush so i could have done many more tweaks but this is it...nothing goes up perfect :| but i'm pretty pleased with it for now.

    Here are the softwares used:
    - matchmoving / 3d tracking = boujou 5.0
    - 3d modeling / animation / rendering = 3d studio max 2010
    - explosion simulations = fumeFX v2.1
    - rendering = Vray 2.0 RT (wanted to give it a try instead of mental-ray)
    - compositing / postprocessing = After Effects cs5

Hope you like it... enjoy !

    Dude!
That looks sweet, the amount of work those shots have got to be huge!
I have a couple of suggestions if you don't mind... The tanks are moving a little bit to fast, the helicopter is too static and the smoke of the jet need more density, the status txt should be moving continuously. The size of the vehicles seems right. With a color correction and some filters here and there will look just great.
Nice work Peter Keep it up!

    thank you guys.
yeah, i know there i could have done many more things but that would have taken forever. Maybe i'll come back some time and redo the explosions simulations and renders and maybe add some more tweaks here and there, but for now i'll go straight to my next project... some sort of car advertise...inspired by this(especially the close up shots - that's what i'm aiming for):

    Still thinking to details.
