I got Wacom Bamboo P&T last year and yes.. No regret going back into mouse. The only time I use mouse is when going into window control panel or some old software from the late 90 to early 2k.
Duron, in your situation... since you love sketching and etc, wacom Bamboo P&T may be good start for you.. And as much as you get comfortable with it, you might want to consider getting Wacom Intuos Later on... . I tried my friend's intuos4... I fallen in love with it. It allow you to control pen/brush pressure, the size of pen/brush, color, and etc without having to go click it then paint then click on it. Not only that, its very smooth, the pen is thick enough especially if you re sketching all day long. I know if I could get that, I won't be regretting get rid of Bamboo. Just give you some thought as for now keep playing with bamboo until whenever.
Anyway, ......Your color and everything look pretty good. But keep on practicing... Work on the glossy and shadow part. (On the hood and bottom part of bumper)
After a long time i picked up my Wacom again and thats the result.
The Design was just for fun, so no specific orientations, but it could also be a HSC
My goal was to improve the reflections, shadows etc. just to become acquainted with Sketchbook
i darken up the sketch cuz i like secret-mongering
Thanks for your input guys but the last sketch is not particularly interesting i see, so check this
Its the remake of the HSC sketch... still lots of to learn but i think its a big step from my first sketch...
wow man that looks great i love it. Some tips i think should make the sketch better:
- try to make the surfaces shine a bit more, as for now some surfaces are a bit dark so it's hard to see the curvature. A bit shine/reflections would give us a better knowledge about the surfaces, and how they're shaped
- make the a pillar a bit smaller at the top. It looks a bid odd now. The thickness at the bottom looks good, only it should get smaller the more you go to the roof, and at the roof it should be like half the size. Imo that should suite the car much better.
But thats just my view on this sketch Great work, i admire your skills. Keep it coming
i think it looks too airbrushee an completely flat. there's no sense of volume or how forms turn in space. i really like your pencil sketches. try to use tablet and photoshop just as a tool, and spend more time thinking on the actual design rather than brushes, colors and filters. keep it up
These scetches are incredible Duron! The design looks like a natural evolution of BMWs design language. Only, you've got a touch of simplicity in this design that I really like. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the pixel.
