agree with stalker ...I suggest one of the gtx series like the GTX275 to you. In my opinion you should also cast an eye on your RAM. If you wanna "play" with highpoly models it's better to take 6 GB of Ram or more.

    cheers

with all of hardware you mentioned, you DEFINITELY need more than 420w PSU... try for 700w or more.

more ram = better for 3d, as for graphics card - if realtime rendering is not intended then it's unimportaint

Hey, there's some weird things on this list:

Core i7 9XX (like your 920) use LGA1366 socket, and that P755D board has a LGA1156. So you can choose between change your 1156 board to a 1366 (like Asus P6TD Deluxe) or change your processor from this "i7 920" to an "i7 860"

    Core i7 9XX = LGA 1366. Triple channel memory, so get 3, 6, 12 or 24GBs of ram.
Core i7 8XX = LGA 1156. Dual channel memory, so 2,4,8 or 16GB of ram.

I dont recomend you getting that 420W power supply. Core i7 is power hungry, especially if you change that quadro to a GTX 2XX

I'm using a "ASUS P6T Deluxe V2" and i'm happy with it. Stable, well cooled, RAID, has 6 SATA outputs, supports 24GB ram and blablabla.

There's some extreme boards like ASUS rampage II, Gigabyte X58A UD7, and EVGA classified. But those boards IMHO are buit to ppl who does extreme overclocking hehe

I recomend you save for memory. But remember, if you go LGA 1366, it's tri channel, so, get 3, 6, 12 or 24 GBs. Not 4 or 8.

Enermax or Corsair 500W will be more than enough, depending on the graphics card.

My Corsair 650W does well with an i7 920@3.6ghz and GTX260. So, if you go quadro, a 500W power supply is enough. If you go GTX285, a 750W is recomended.

overall high quality 500w is enought for most gaming cards unless you use dualgpu or sli or crossfire. Buy corsair, enermax or seasonic they are good

    i agree with Stalker!
If you buy a good supply with a good efficiency like 80+, you dont have to buy a supply with 600w or higher!

    min 500w
max 700w if you want to be in the safe sideClick here to enlarge

Wait... i think there is a mistake.. only the socket 1366 supports tripple channel.. socket 1156 supports only double channel. so why you have 3*2 GB ram? i'd suggest 2*2 or 4*2 Click here to enlarge

Yeap, Jay is right, you're buying a LGA1156 kit, so it's dual channel. Get 4 or 8gbs
