I also deleted some profiles and spam threads! It's really annoying! So in my opinion their must be stricter rules of registration. Perhaps it's necessary to check every new member with a special request (dunno really what) to be sure that this one isn't a "flamer"!

Maybe it's too tough :P what do you think?

edit: we have now a better spam protection for new registrations...if you get a spam pm please post the username here to eliminate registered old spam bots. thanks

I say do like the do on Bimmerforums and remove the pm feature untill you have been a member for a certain amount of time or posted a certain number of posts.

Good suggestion mate, I know that is what they use to do on Digitaltutors for example.

i'm admin from another board, we just ban all membernames with *admin*, *moderator*, *root*, *forum* and *team*!
seams that this works great ...

We did that aswell, but you can't exclude something like that "Dersterman"
