I have had a long break from modelling (too many other non-3d projects). But have had a few quiet days over Christmas so decided to get my eye back in ... and have had these plans on my PC for some time.
Started this on Christmas Eve. It is the legendary Ford Lotus Cortina MK1.
Here are a few pics showing it evolving and some wires.
May model all of the chassis ... and certainly the Lotus Twin Cam engine.
It will be sitting low on some classic wide band steel rims, with white paint and lotus green stripe.

Ah ... I have part 3 on my hard drive - or at least part of part 3. It was getting long. Just been too busy on other projects to get ot finished. I see that Exidge has posted some back plates so it would be quite interesting to post the next section. I had included my own hdris for this tutorial ... maybe I should contact Exidge, Carl and Sesim and ask if I can use theirs ?
I'll try and get it finished this month.

long time no see... really nice progress as always. the inside of the engine compartment is particularly compelling. from this detail should i infer that you'll do some of the engine parts or am i just crazy?
