well, some modeling exercise for me - actually I've never work on any production model since I'm using AST.
still some hours to spend on rear shoulder transition, and the hardest will be done. Still got some areas to work on to improve zebras (rear area esp. )
Awesome as always ))) Still waiting for AST tutorial from you) It is gonna be another great project from you... I've learned so much from your last project...
P.S.: you forgot to add link in your signature...

Hey, it looks great so far.
I have just a single crit though:
In the 3rd pic, it looks like the zebra stripes are quite wavy over the centreline. Why did you not just build 1 big surface over the centreline? The same goes for the windscreen and roof.
i also see some some bad reflections on the hood around the center line but it might be only the mirror issue.
i don t wanna be naughty, still waiting for the tweaks

you're right guys, i'm not done with hood, windshiel, roof and rear window (actually everything's on the centerline )
you're right tyreswing, the only way to have nice symmetrical surfaces is to build only one big surface....it's infinitely continuous then, not just g2 or g3
well, some hard time on the rear shoulder...this seems to be the best construction so far (for this car of course), after trying 5 or 6 differents ways....it's not perfect (zebras) but i don't have the real car to look at roundness and shapes in this area, and green lines (x sections) are not on the prints...
I had massive trouble when I was doing that area behind of the side windows, because of the fillet between the shoulder surface and the side that has to blend out along the side of the car.
It looks good right now though
Looks good so far. I'm glad to see you working on another project. There are a couple things I'm not sure about though. I think the bump above the wheel arches could probably be bigger and the side of the body might be too flat by the side skirt. I think the rear bumper along the side of the body will not be strong enough after you fillet. The rear wheel transition surface might be too big.
Also, I have a question if you don't mind; Why do you have this little surface (in green)? Was there an edge at that corner that you needed to blend?
Do you still use ast at work? Do they have you making concepts all the time, no production vehicles at all?

Thanks Rhinoguy,
the bumps above the wheel arches are as on the blueprints, it seems very flat to me too but that's the way it is...
about the rear bumper, i have to work this area again anyway, i'll try to increase the angle here to get the edge after filleting you're right...
In the green area what you can see is curves on surfaces, not surface boundaries (see enclosed picture with eval shading)
about the side section i've to find something more structured, now it's a bit of an "S" whereas it should be a nice bend with a kink at the bottom (see enclosed picture with wires and a new proposal for the section (white curve). This is gonna make me split the surface into two...pictures to come as soon as i've rebuild everything around....
