    BMW e30 M3 - DaveCox

    Hi Guys,

About time I started something new...

I have recently stepped over to 3DS Max and this is my first project using it. Forgive me as I have been away from modelling a while so I might be a little rusty. Any way my first bit of the WIP is shown below, let me know what you think.

As you can see I am just hashing out the body at the moment, now real details I just want to get the basic shaped sorted. Oh and updates will be as fast as rodder's Click here to enlarge

oooh, first time I've seen a project from you xD

well, you need to watch your polyflow, needs to be evenly spaced, I think you should use a tad more polies around the wheel arch too. The corner of the hood = / you need to clean that up a bit, looks wavy. keep going though !

Hey Dave, nice to see you in action. You need to make wire more equal, as Pan3sar said. Post some wires of the hood - we could help you. Hood is pretty easy part for making nice polyflow

It is nice to see you're back to modeling ))) Nice choice also )))
Not to much for first update. But I do not like some places on your wire. I'll say more after first smoothed pictures.
Looking forward. My the Force be with you.

Hey Sm@rt, cheers for the encouragement. Thanks to P2sta as well.

So some more progress, slow like I said.

Also two rims that I am considering for this model (I am sorry the rims are modelled in Inventor and then rendered in C4D) I haven't got used to rendering in Max yet :banghead:

Yea, those rims looks really great! You should switch to MR or Vray in Max, I'm sure the pro users will get you up to speed soonest!

Great car to model, you're gonna do interior too?

    Regards
    Gim
