    Qualt's renders

ok i will post here the renders of my unfinished wip's Click here to enlarge ...
begining with my maseraty .. i want to get nice renders of this model to post them into the gallery.. the problem .. (if you follow the wip you will notice that) is that i couldn't get a good shape... so it is a bit dificult to get a good render...

ok waiting your critics about these (the enviroment is the Hdri-locations.com free hdri ).. imo .. i really like them Click here to enlarge

P.S.: i don't like too much the last one.. i'm not sure of how to get that effect so well..

    Regards, saludos

Hey Qualt, did you checked this tutorial? It can helps you to avoid overbrights.

you need to work on the wheels/tires. the look weird with motion blur. also, the tire isn't dark enough. keep it up m8

@sm@rt: yes i checked it but i didn't like it.. is a really complicated method to do a composite... and don't know i think that the overbrights there.. give a look more realistic... like a photo taked by one of us...i think that the over bricghts are wrong when is on the car.. i mean when it makes impossible too se any shadow or reflection that give you a knowledge of the shape of the car..

@rodderworld: here you have a picture of the motion blur... i think that it is ok.. the number shows you the frame duration Click here to enlarge don't know what is weird.. :search: (maybe my modelling Click here to enlarge).

something still looks weird to me. part of the problem might be the shape of the tire though. from that angle it's pretty obvious that your sidewall is too flat.

nice compüos so far. But agree, some things are wrong. I think the DOF and Environment works not good together.
I prefer the mb 1x, the mb 1,5x looks strange to me...

Not sure if this can be applied to Max, but in Maya Mental Ray motion blur, there is a setting called Motion Steps, which if you increase the value, the accuracy of the motion blur would increase, most helpful for round objects which are motion blurred. Motion Steps allows the motion blur to look more round.

Some of the renders, you can see its not 100% round. Just wondering if it helps.

seeing as your putting a lot of focus on the wheels, maybe you should improve them slightly. I think that the rims are a little inaccurate. Sorting this out will really make your renders come to life Click here to enlarge

ok guys i solved the problem of the blur.. (was the prepass, i had 1 and i increased it to 3, wasn't motion steps but near Click here to enlarge )

here are the renders with the motion blur, and road fixed.. with new ones.. the scene is a free one i'm working on the materials but i would like your opinion of the camera angles
