Hey Guys,
Hoping someone here may be able to help, I'm currently working on a project which requires me to set a night time scene. The scene has your typical spherical HDR but I also have a backplate HDR image which I am meant to use. I have been provided with a .jpg version of this also, my problem is how within vray can I use the backplate HDR and Spherical HDR and obtain the same settings.
I have the spherical map in a VrayHDRI material and set in the vray environment settings (skylight and relection slots), the render and overall settings are at 4.0 to bring it up to the correct level.
The Backplate is set as the environment background, when I import it into the environment background I have the usual HDR settings to control the black and white exposure. At the moment I am currently tweaking the settings by eye which of course is not very accurate.
Is there a was I can use the VrayHDRI mtl to map the backplate onto the environment? This way I can then control all the settings I need and bring it up to the same levels as the HDR in the spherical map.
Unfortunatly I cannot show any images as they are of a sensitive nature at the moment!
Cheers

.. you just have to instance the map and play with the gamma...
