    Matte Shadow?

hey guys am having a little issue getting a matte shadow in vray i preety much used both way possible to do it which are vray propieties, activate de matte option and you want to say afecct alhpa -1,0.
the second way to do it is by the mtl wrraper
and it doesnt seem to work on my scene. But whats weirs is that it works in a new scene. So i was wondering if maybe theres another option that i have to enable in order for it to work or not any ideas??

I presume, you wanted "Opaque" ground plane except for shadow on "Live" render??? The one that won't display ground plane on reflected object??

If so.... In material editor, apply VRaYMtlWrapper, then apply Matte Shadow under Base Material of VRayMtlWrapper.. You ll get opague ground plane w/shadow

The Matte/Shadow under VRay Properties, or from Material Editor is meant to use for post producting... I mean if You have "VRayAlpha" enabled in render element list, it'll show up...

    Hope that helps

Ok so try not using the matte/shadow from max. just use a vrmtl and then in the mtlwrapper options make sure you deselect visible to reflection. That should solve your problem.
