Managed this with procedurals a while back (Sorry iffy lighting and scene):
Hope you don't mind me posting here
umm well ... what´s it supposed to be? leather? asphalt?
looks strange imo and has nothing to do with sesim´s intention to share some tileable hires textures.

i think it has. it's a procedural map so it's tileable. but a simple render doesn't help to much. he better post that procedural map as a material library or something.

if it actually was something complicated i´d say post it as a .mat file. But judging from the above render it looks like a simple cellular map in the Bump slot.
But the real reason for my statement was that he posted a rendering with lighting and perspective which no one can use as a texture.
Anyways, im looking forward to see more from sesim
Hey I am still learning Max, but once I figure out what to do and how to do it, I will post it as a procedural tar material... or whatever one should call it and do a better render.

Keep the maps coming Sesim:buttrock:
no biggie.
And you always can start your own procedural asphalt thread around here so that we can all participate and maybe help you.
Cheers
The first 6 gravel textures is finished. I will try to upload em using some fileshare place to begin with! As i have time i will start making package by containing each 6 textures in, to keep down the size.
