VRay 1.5 SP2 crash max 2008 upon render

    Hello

I am modeling a car right now and itīs nearly finished. The last two days, I been adding some more detail and so on, the total size of my max file has been about 40-41MB and everything has been good, no crashes.

Now, after som details and more textures, the file size is 50MB and everytime I press render, max crash. I am using VRay 1.5 SP2 and 3ds max 2008 32bit with WinXP SP3 and my computer is a Intel Quad Core 2,6 with 4GB DDR3 RAM and a GeforceFX 8800GTX 512MB.

Now, I go back to my recent file, before I added all the details, now I can render, at least two, maybe three times, then max crash on me again... Strange behaivour...

What can it be? How much memory does VRay need? Is it limited to the file size of a scene or what?

What can I do to get max to perform even better? I tried to add the 3GB switch but that causes my whole computer in a bad mood...

    Any thoughts?

    Regards
    Stefan

Use vray frame buffer, and and untick render to memory frame buffer and tick save vray raw image file, this will save a lot of memory
