    hotrod group project

This is just an idea (a slightly thought-out one at that). essentially, i was thinking of creating a group to work on a hot rod. why group-project? thought it would be an interesting experience.

ok, ranting's over. essentially, i'm planning on modelling a chassis (maybe engine too) for a 1940 or 1933-34 ford (probably a sedan but it really doesn't matter since the frame is the same for all modles). if other people want to volunteer to do something for the body that would be great. the plan would be to start with a stock model and then turn it into something more modern at a later date. if anyone's interested, drop me a pm or answer this thread.

    regards,
    rodder

I think I would be in, but as some of you might now, I hate Hotrods. But, I thought maybe I could model the stock version of the car, because I like the cars of that era from 1930 to 1940. Just an idea, don't know how it would fit into the group project...

@kosso: stock would be great. i kinda have this cool image in my crazy head of a stock(or very close to) rendered next to the customized (which equinox seems to have some thoughts about.

@sesim, petter: i have attached pictures of various styles of 1933-34 fords, hope it inspires

yeah, 'nox mentioned boyd too so maybe a boyd-inspired rod to go with a stock one. oh yeah, if you're curious about chassis options for that search around wallesdator.com

been trying to figure out a way for all of us to keep proportions on the same level. what i've done so far is create the basic (stock) framerails in low-poly form from blueprints. it's all scaled in inches. so, if you're inclined to participate, i'll just send them to you.

oh yeah, to those interested in doing the customized hotrod, can you start giving some ideas of what changes to the body you'll be making so that i can figure out if the frame will work.

@rx: glad to see you're pleased. so far it's relatively simple. i'll probably do a low and high-poly chassis depending on how it will be rendered. if you want the framerails to have an idea about the engine, i'll send them
