    Avon Tech M500

    The Tech M500 is the Ultra High Performance Summer tire member of AVON Tyres' family of Tech performance tires. The attractively priced Tech M500 is designed to bestow confidence to the drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans by providing traction, handling and control in dry and wet road conditions. The Tech M500 is not intended to be driven in snow.
    On the outside, the Tech M500 features a silica-enhanced summer tread compound molded into an asymmetric, five-rib tread design to increase the tread rigidity of the outer half of the tire and help it resist deformation, thus increasing traction, steering response and cornering stability. The tread design's continuous center rib provides constant rubber to road contact to enhance straight line tracking while reducing noise levels. The width and location of the four wide circumferential grooves blend dry road performance with wet weather traction and hydroplaning resistance.
    On the inside, the Tech M500 features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon, along with a carcass that sandwiches a hard sidewall filler between polyester cord plies to help resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering.
    The Tech M500 sidewall styling features subtle black letters reversed out of a stylized serrated band and include a protective "rim recess" on all sizes. It will be available in W-speed rated sizes in 55-, 50-, 45-, 40-, 35-, and 30-series sizes for 15" through 20" rim diameters.

    Avon Tech M550 A/S

    The Tech M550 A/S is the Ultra High Performance All-Season tire member of AVON Tyres' family of Tech performance tires. The attractively priced Tech M550 A/S is designed to provide flexibility for the drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans by providing year-round traction, predictable handling and control in dry and wet road conditions, as well as in light snow.
    On the outside, the Tech M550 A/S radials feature a silica-enhanced all-season tread compound molded into a directional tread design that features large independent tread blocks to provide stability on dry roads while its grooves help pump water and slush through the tire's footprint to increase hydroplaning resistance and foul weather traction. Lateral grooves and multiple sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to enhance wet road and light snow traction.

    BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD

    The g-Force T/A KD is the Max Performance Summer tire member of BFGoodrich's family of g-Force T/A tires. The g-Force T/A KD is designed to deliver BFGoodrich's Traction/Advantage in order to increase the performance capabilities of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans by providing extreme dry road performance (hence the "D" in KD) while providing satisfactory wet traction. The g-Force T/A KD is not intended to be driven in snow.
    The g-Force T/A KD features BFGoodrich's high-silica BlackTech tread compound molded into tires specifically developed for the left and right side of the vehicle. The g-Force T/A KD is the first BFGoodrich tire to feature an asymmetric tread pattern (featuring large, stable blocks which provide more outer shoulder contact area than almost any other street tire in history) which increases cornering traction and steering response, combined with directional water evacuation channels to help resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Internally, the twin steel belts are reinforced by BFGoodrich's ETEC System (spirally wound nylon strips) that provide excellent strength, uniform ride quality, and Y-speed rated (186 mph) capability.     BFGoodrich g-Force Sport

    The g-Force Sport is BFGoodrich's Ultra High Performance Summer tire designed for sport compact drivers who want to combine outstanding dry handling with affordable prices. The g-Force Sport was developed to provide crisp and responsive handling in both wet and dry conditions, however it is not intended to be driven in snow or on ice.
    On the outside, the g-Force Sport molds BFGoodrich's BlackTech tread compound into a directional tread design with large independent shoulder tread blocks, g-Hook intermediate ribs, two continuous center ribs and two wide circumferential rain channels to blend superior dry cornering, capable wet traction and straight-line stability.
    Internally, the g-Force Sport features twin, high tensile steel belts that are further strengthened by BFGoodrich's ETEC System (Equal Tension Containment) spiral-wrapped reinforcement to stabilize the tread area enhancing handling and high-speed capability.     BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2

    The BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 (KDW for Key feature: Dry and Wet traction, the “2” is our addition and identifies that this is the second generation g-Force T/A KDW) is the Ultra High Performance Summer tire that was developed to provide a blend of a dramatic-looking, ultra high performance tread design with superior dry and wet road performance. The BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 is available in sizes for drivers of the world's hottest sports cars, coupes, sedans and light trucks.
    The g-Force T/A KDW-2 features large tread blocks to enhance dry road stability, handling and wear under high torque loads, while rounded shoulder profiles help provide feedback for the driver by communicating the tire's progressive and predictable characteristics as they reach their limits of adhesion. A silica-reinforced tread compound with wide circumferential and lateral grooves form a directional tread design to speed water evacuation, improve wet traction and reduce the risk of hydroplaning. This basic tread design technology is shared with the g-Force T/A radial racing rain tires used in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans Am Series.     BFGoodrich Traction T/A V

    Belonging to BFGoodrich's Traction T/A family, the H- and V-speed rated Traction T/A radials are sporty, durable and attractively priced High Performance All-Season tires. The H- and V-speed rated Traction T/A radials were developed to provide four-season traction along with five-star performance for performance cars by blending good treadwear, responsive handling and dependable traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.
    On the outside, H- and V-speed rated Traction T/A radials feature a silica-enhanced tread compound molded into a size-specific, directional tread design that features large independent tread blocks (185 & 195mm section width sizes use a "5-rib" design while 205mm and wider sizes have a "6-rib" design). Large tread blocks provide stability on dry roads while the directional design helps pump water through the tire's footprint to increase hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. Lateral grooves and sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to enhance wet road and light snow traction.     The Potenza G009 is Bridgestone's High Performance All-Season tire that was developed to meet the needs of sports car, coupe and sedan drivers who want to be associated with the performance heritage of the Bridgestone brand in racing. The Potenza G009 combines Bridgestone's advanced UNI-T Technology with affordable pricing.
    Bridgestone's UNI-T Technology focuses on three primary tire components, the beads, casing and tread, which influence overall performance by enhancing comfort, handling and traction.     The Potenza RE92 is a High Performance All-Season tire designed for sports coupes and sports sedans. It was developed to provide responsive handling and year round traction, even in light snow.

    Bridgestone Dueler H/P D680

    The new Dueler H/P D680 with UNI-T AQ is a Street/Sport Truck tire that offers civilized highway performance as it delivers the sports-car like handling that unleashes the potential of sport trucks. The Dueler H/P offers exceptional handling in wet and dry conditions through a directional tread design developed specifically for light trucks.
    UNI-T AQ technology combines UNI-T technology with Extended Performance Optimization (EPO) which adds dual layer tread compounds which further resist the normal tread rubber hardening that can result from the heat of friction encountered during thousands of miles of use.     Continental ContiSportContact 2

    The Continental ContiSportContact 2 is a Max Performance Summer tire that was developed to meet the needs of the drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes and luxury sedans. The ContiSportContact 2 features Continental's bionic* contour and bionic* compound technology to enhance braking and handling as well as resistance to hydroplaning. While the ContiSportContact 2 is intended to eventually replace the original ContiSportContact, the original ContiSportContact is expected to remain available in selected sizes for some time.
    On the outside, the ContiSportContact 2 features a bionic tread compound technology that is based on nature. The design of a spider's web -- which is both elastic and stable -- was used for the first time in the creation of a tire compound that is both flexible and firm. The bionic tread compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that enhances steering response and steering precision while the tire's continuous ribs provide the circumferential stiffness to transmit drive and braking forces. The continuous circumferential tread grooves between the ribs help disperse water to resist hydroplaning.     Continental ContiSportContact 2 Vmax

    The ContiSportContact 2 Vmax is Continental's Max Performance Summer tire that was designed to be the fastest "off-the-shelf" tire in the world. Intended for ultra-fast, high-end customized sport cars and performance sedans, the ContiSportContact 2 Vmax is the first road tire certified by Continental for speeds of up to 225 mph (360 km/h), a speed at which the tires must withstand revolving approximately 50 times every second while they carry the vehicle 330 feet (100 meters) down the road.
    The main challenge for the ContiSportContact 2 Vmax is to master the extreme centrifugal forces on the tire surface and dissipate the heat. As tires roll faster, centrifugal forces and tire temperatures grow. With several tons of weight per square inch stressing the tread at high speeds, tire temperatures can heat up beyond 200-degrees Fahrenheit.
    An additional challenge of high-speed tires is that standing waves may develop in the tread area and sidewall. A radial tire's tread flattens and its sidewalls bulge where it comes into contact with the road. At low speeds, it's easy for the tire to transition between the tire's loaded shape and its relaxed shape before returning to its loaded shape as the tire contacts with the road again. However at high speeds, this process occurs so rapidly that the tire may not be able to switch between shapes before the tire's next contact with the road, causing a ripple in the tread area and sidewall. The tire's structure must provide the control required to avoid the destructive heat generated during this transformation at high speeds.
    On the outside, ContiSportContact 2 Vmax tires feature a tread compound molded into the familiar ContiSportContact 2 asymmetric tread design with several important design differences to help keep temperatures down. The tread ribs have been modified by enlarging the existing grooves and adding circumferential cooling grooves and lateral notches to reduce the rubber volume while increasing hydroplaning resistance on wet roads. Sipes in the tread pattern make the tread more supple, and beginning tread depths have been reduced by about 15 percent (molded at only 7/32- to 9/32-inch compared to the typical 9/32- to 10/32-inch) to cut heat generation by about one half.
    On the inside, the ContiSportContact 2 Vmax have exceptionally strong steel belts, nylon belt reinforcement and a multi-radii tread contour to distribute the forces on the belt more uniformly and reduce the stress on the belt edges to ensure that the tire can withstand high speeds. The ContiSportContact 2 Vmax has been designed with a reinforced sidewall and the number of wires in the bead core has been increased from 25 to 36, thus guaranteeing the tire resists standing waves and holds the rim firmly.
    Continental ContiSportContact 2 Vmax tires feature black sidewall styling with subtle black letters reversed out of a circumferential serrated band. They are Z-speed rated and available in selected 35-, 30- and 25-series sizes for 19" wheel diameters.
