I wanted to create a modern design but with retro influences. I've always loved the 30'ies and 40'ies style of car design. When form would often have a bigger priority than function, or at least safety. The dilemma was to create something that could work in real life (well pretty much at least, I'm no engineer), with all the comfort you'd expect in a new car, but with old fashion glamour.
Good luck to everyone, it's been a blast!

You won't get much closer to magic than pressing the render button.
Small sporty agressive exotic car powered by a mid-engine twin turbo 4 cylinder. I wanted to create something unique and with lots of shape, I agree that the spoiler is a bit much, but hey gotta have some fun sometimes.
The scarab beetle in ancient Egypt was a holy image with the heiroglyphics translating as "to transform" or "to come into being" and was an image of a God.
My concept is based on that beetle with the rounded body, winglike windows, pincer like nose and the doors will open up and out similar to wings also.
It has a mid mounted engine and is rear wheel drive, designed for performance and speed.
Due to lack of personal time its not completely finished but this will continue to "transform" at a later stage.
Thanks for the great competition and best of luck to everyone.
Here are my finals all important to the concpet of the car.
Idea was to create a car based on japanese kabutos( samurai helmets)
In particular based on the shingen's (famous warrior). All through the sketch
phase working on the porportion and angles need to get the fell for it.
I have done a package assesment and competitors as well.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but sometimes you may have to give a stupid, or misinformed beholder a black eye."
heres mine good luck to everyone who entered the competition.
i just wanted to create my own supercar and i had been think of this for the longest time but never put anything on paper, so im very grateful this competition was introduced
ok heres our superbrutal concept car: The XOX V18 1600 BHP beast!:clown:
Inspired by Hussein Al Attar, nina modelled the car with major modifications to it and rendered by Levente. Hope you like our work!:chinese:
hard choice between toub and ibrd...
but ibrd's shingen gets the point... really good illustration drawings...
the toub's interior looks really good but the attention to the kabutos main theme and the research of tipical style convinced me more...
