    Indicator Material?

    Hi guys,

    i searched many on the web, but i couldn't find, what i want. Do you know any tutorials or give me some tipps, how to make an indicator material like in my attachmend?

    The picture is not so clear but it looks light lightly coloured and reflective orange bulbs and a patterned highly reflective chrome background.

    So I would say that for the best reuslts it would be a combination of those 2 textures AND good modelling of the reflective parts around the indicators.

    Naturally with all that Chrome you must have a good environment or environment map to reflect.

    Download those - they are a great starting pack.

    And you can use the same HDRI I used for my chrome (on the alloy wheel thread). I show how I setup the chrome :

    You could try that to get started.

    someone posted another very useful hdri package somewhere but i can´t remember where it is :banghead:
    the pack is called "digitalin chrome" and gives very good chrome and paint results.

    perhaps someone can post the link again.

    edit: never mind. just googled the original source.
