    K&N induction cone model

I modelled up a simple kn induction cone - aint broke the bank to do it really - simple revolves to make the shapes but the cone/paper bit in the middle is actually a displacement map repeated 64 times (same number as the mesh divisions) and its also used as a subtle diffuse map to darken the folds too.

on top is a K&N logo bump mapped into a simple chrome shader.

the scene is in maya but I can save out the object in other formats for 3dsmax and so on then just zip it up with the textures. This is why I tackled the middle bit in displacement then everyone can simply plug in the textures and use it. tho a mesh would have been just as easy haha!

hope you all like it - sorry its not massively complex but like Tee said - good for starting points.

if you want a copy emailed PM me with your email addy and I'll do what I cant to send it your way with textures.

yeah its probably slimmer too but my intention was to put together a scene that could make a strong starting point for others using displacement so others could tweak it (ie: add a different displacement to simulate the small creases and folds in the middle section) so I aint killed myself on it Click here to enlarge

Heres my contribution from my last car model (Mazda Rx-7). Sorry about the grainy renders I didn't have enough time to do as many passes as i would have liked.
