    Retro SportsCONCEPT

Well I think I'll have to join in on this concept business. If you read through my other thread you'll see that I love old cars, and the designlanguage used back then. So my concept car is inspired by the flowing lines of cars from the 30's - 50's, but with a lot of new touches. Please give me some feedback on how I can develop and improve my sketches before they reach "production". Hope you like it and have a good one everybody.

By the way, the alloys is inspired by Weld Evo Monsoon, so they'll have to take any cred for that one.

I haven't posted a view of the front or rear yet, 'cause I haven't desided how the lights should look, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

Hey thanks guys, I really appreciate it! I'll try to work out some sketches for the front and the rear today.

X-Ice, I'm not planning on making it with splines, I've done one car with Maya-splines and I'm not too happy with how it came out. And I need to work on my poly-modelling. I've done the exterior on the Citroen DS (my other thread) and that worked out okay, so I'll keep it in Poly.

Well, spent a couple of hours making a front end of the car without any luck, but I'll post the back anyway... I know it's not 100% accurate with the other views but it's still a sketch. Feedback is both appreciated and very important!

    Thanks

Levente: I agree with you, I think the side is the best part, I haven't really made my mind up regarding the rest yet, but I think I'll make some changes to the top and the rear when I start modelling, I think those parts don't fit the car too well.

    Thanks for the feedback

Well, I really can't make up my mind about the frontend of the car, so I guess I'll just start modelling with what I have, and make some new sketches when I get to that part... I'll probably have some updates tonight.

    Cheers

Damn, I liked your sketch techniques and I liked your concept style... was it free hand sketch with markers? or dd you use some kind of art software?

    Looking forward to see more....

Thanks EquiNOX! Well I used Photoshop with a Wacom Intous 3 A4 tablet, I really love working with it 'cause it's so easy creating different styles with the same equipment.

By the way, I'll probably start modelling it today, I've been stuck with a Volvo truck, but I think I've finished it today, just got to get feedback from the project manager.

Well finally started working on this baby now, I've put a couple of hours into it, but theres alot of things to be done... a frontend for instance. I know there's a couple of inaccuracies, but any feedback is most welcome, there's probably some things I've missed.

great work toub. i like the fastback look but i think you could go even more radical in the rear. your bottom of the rearend cold continue on and angle behind the fenders.

Hey rodder, yeah I'll try that out, I think it could look really good, working on the frontend at the moment, it's hard to match the two ends designwise, but I hope I'll fix it... but yeah, it could be more extreme!
