    2007 Concept GTO

    Hey everybody!

Haven't been modeling for awhile, but I figured this contest would be perfect for my new design idea.

I'm redesigning the 2004 GTO that was just a modified version of the HSV Coupe.

I hope you like mine better than the current design, as its bringing it back from the past just like Chev with the Camaro Concept, and Dodge with the Challenger Concept!

C&C always welcome, and any new ideas along the way are also greatly appreciated!

looks kool:buttrock: more like traditional american muscleClick here to enlarge But for some ideas on the Holden (pontiac) GTO go on the Holden.com.au because the GTO is AustralianClick here to enlarge. not saying that your idea is bad but the car is Australian.

TTL-- It'd be nice to see you do GTO retro concept... Because as matter of fact the new GTO is a major turn off for american, they all thought Pontiac or GM manufacturer would bring in retro when they introduce it in 2001 car show.

ET-- No no that where you are wrong... GTO was orginally born in American since 1964 they died in 1974 and brings alive again in 2004/5. As matter of fact, few cars that holden owns is manufactuered by American GM. And other fact, GM saves Holden from going out of business. Anyway back to point, I think TTL is doing retros concepts not new or innovation design.

Yeah there is a "Holden GTO" and most of us know that the "Pontiac GTO" is from an Australian car but also google "HSV Coupe" and you'll get a car that looks almost like the "Pontiac GTO" hmm....wonder why?

    Thanks for the input though!

Whilst the original gto is american the latest one is australian based. Be that as it may, i think that if you're to do a concept it should be more rooted in the american designs since the australian (Holden) part of the GTO's is history is mainly in providing the platform

Front and rear look good. Side needs something extra to spruce it up alittle.

I think theshaddix also said you need a perspective drawing.

nice idea to rebring the nicest muscle car everbuilt!

But I think that you should reconsider ur rearlights, which are to 90's looking... make them a bit like the alfa romeo rearlights or even like the 2006 challenger and with no external subdivisions...

Also, work on the profile proportions, that are lil bit cartoonish. Sugestion: print a side view from a GTO Blue print and work on it... should help

    Hope I helped a bit

Thanks for the help...I was thinking of doing them like the Challenger but then that would be copying their ideas, and the older GTO's had the slatted lights.

I dunno yet, that was just a sketch I can always modify it later!

Might just do them like these...its an older Grand Prix but...still Pontiac.

But I need some ideas on for the side...it looks pretty simple, but then again so does the new Challenger and Camaro...

    Any suggestions?

the side is the most distinguish aspect of a muscle car (in my opinion). Make it like the original, but "clean" the lines and make nicer wheel arches... this may be something nice to do
